Last time I went to the Walmart pharmacy to pick up my Urso the said this prescription came from a different lab. I have been on Urso 2 years now and probably several different labs but this one is just awful. I got so dizzy last week my husband took me to the emergency room. I felt like I was doing pretty well until now. Has anyone else had this problem? Most posts I see people have a nausea issue.

Sorry for your nausea. Are you sure it is the urso causing it?
I saw my GP yesterday. She thinks I could be anemic...that could be some part of the problem as well.
I occasionally have bouts of extreme nausea and dizziness. I am not sure what triggers it. But it is debilitating. I spoke to my hepatologist about this and he doesn't think it is pbc related. I took antivert for the nausea and something else. I can't remember but it was given to me by a nurse practitioner when I was feeling extremely bad. I had to call my hepatologist to make sure I can take the meds before I would take them.
Had you been standing longer than norm when you had these bouts? And is it your friend who has PBC this happened to? Recently I took myself to ER after dizzy/nauseous/faint/chest pain/sweating. It wasn't a heart attack, thought likely low blood pressure following longer than usual standing/walking and not eating or drinking during these 3-4 hours. The time standing and not eating didn't seem at all excessive to me though. A friend who'd had a cardiac arrest advised me always have a drink and something sweet in your bag to avoid or correct a drop in blood pressure. I've never heard of risk of low blood pressure being associated with PBC but it makes sense? And anaemic? I have pernicious anaemia due to PBC absorption-related issues.
No, I was sitting when I had the episodes. No, my pbc friend does not discuss health issues with me. I only know pbc is the least of her concerns.
One time I happened to have a hepatologist appointment within days after a dizziness incident. He examined me, told me I had a lot of water in my ears. Advised me to take benadryl for 10 days to drain the water & the dizziness will go away. If not, then I should go see an ENT doctor. It did what he told me & it went away.
I think being anemic is common in women & most of these other issues are not pbc related. Sometimes if I don’t have enough sleep, drink too much coffee or am stressed, I get dizzy & nauseous too.

Take good care of yourself. I have friends who are anemic too. One reported extreme dizziness. One time she just lie on the bathroom floor because it was that bad.

She is eating more red meat and taking supplements. Actually I should check in with her on this. I haven't asked her how she is doing lately.
I have nausea and dizziness. It occurs to me that it may be autoimmune-related, a symptom of sicca syndrome, (the glands that secrete mucous, sebaceous oil, etc, don't function well). This dryness can cause dry skin, dry hair, dry mouth, blocked sinuses, and, (I have no evidence, just a guess, drier than needed eustachian tubes in the ears, reducing our sense of balance). I also have peripheral neuropathy which sometimes makes me feel dizzy when walking.
BuutterflyEi often mentions as part of her self care, the importance of hydration. It is such a simple thing we can easily overlook it, or as sometimes in my case, limit intake of fluids to manage travel/bathroom situations. After a lot of suffering, and though I always knew I should drink more water slowly through the day, I finally make it a priority. It has made a difference. Even if this isn't the cause of your nausea and dizziness, it is easy to test if it improves things for you. Sipping fairly constantly beats downing half a pint straight off which just can go through quickly and not solve the problem or even make it worse. I hope this helps someone even if not you 4pjx, and I hope you get it under control in some way.

Would be very surprised that the urso caused this... More likely to be a blood pressure one or something else completely.... Had you eaten enough, or changed anything else???
Have you had or do you get these symptoms with low blood pressure Cazer? Is it different after transplant?
My pharmacy does this too. I think they go for the cheapest on available and I have also had side effects from some and not from others. What did the hospital say.
The hospitol couldn't really fine anything. I don't have high blood pressure , my heart is okay. Now that I am thinking about it, it really could be anemia.
No I'm on the high side.. But family members have had low BP and been dizzy.
Most likely anaemia.. This def causes dizziness.. Especially if you bend over or stand up quick...

I also got a new-shaped Urso pill this most recent time - also from Walgreens. I"m just starting to use it because I was finishing the old prescription first. I have had a couple of very short episodes of feeling off balance but not enough to worry about yet. However they did surprise me because I hadn't done anything that I could think of that would set it off. I have had episodes of vertigo in the past, before I was diagnosed with PBC. They were always in the spring and fall and I always suspected that somehow it was related to allergies or sinuses or pollen in the air but no way to prove it.
4pjx - does your dizziness chime with Rosehip experience of feeling dizzy and falling, which it seems can be very much a PBC thing?
It turned out I was anemic. My iron levels mwere bad enough to get a blood transfusion but my doctor decided to try iron supplements first. They seem to be working. My iron levels have improved quite a bit but I am to continue taking them for quite some time.
I didn't really notice a falling feeling just dizzy and weak. I could hardly push the shopping cart at the grocery store.
