Moderating a PBC support group before for several years, I had members nearly from every state in the US. If anyone would like to share what state they are from, I will gladly try to connect you with someone nearby.
Even if you can't meet face to face, texting or being FB friends, at least gives you a nearby connection. Just let me know if you would like to do this.

Since November there has been a new support group that was created by a friend, Danielle. Although I don't know of anyone specifically in VA, this group is an amazing group of folks across the US. The link to join is facebook.com/groups/5768598...
The name of the group is Life With PBC💚Primary Biliary Cholangitis If you have any trouble, please let me know.
although they use FB as a media, it is a closed group. No one can be in the group unless they are admitted by Danielle. No one can read any posts or comments unless they are in this group. This group, Health Unlocked, is an open group - likely why members don't use their real names.

Hey there! So glad you responded. I'm about 1-1/2 hours from Castleton. I joined the Life With PBC group on FB. Are you on that? Trying to think of a way to connect without putting our info in this public space.
This is a group that started from the one I facilitated until November. So many great people in it that have become friends to many of us. If you post in the group where you live, ask if someone lives nearby. This is a good way to find others nearby. Being a closed group, no one see your posts or answers unless they are in the group.

I actually held my first Meet and Greet with my other group in Newton, MA at one of the members's homes. We had about 15 people attend. If you send me (via the chat) your contact number or email I can send it to the people I know there. A Meet and Greet was when I traveled to a someone's home who hosted the afternoon meeting of whomever could get to the location. We all loved meeting each other face to face. I did that a couple times a year. Maybe that could even happen with this group in time.
