Quick update on me, bloodwork

I went off ocaliva last month, staying on urso, at doctors suggestion. My ALP was essentially unchanged from the last test. I’m starting a fibrate this weekend, hoping I will respond to that. Been sick for a couple weeks with strep and such but now feeling great and very optimistic about everything. Will keep you all posted. Always appreciate your advice and support and sharing your stories. Happy holidays!

Hi Ottley3,

It's been a while since you heard from me. I apologize. I thought that we could get together, but life has a way of changing plans. I'm glad that you are feeling better. I'm Ok and still on Orso since Dx in March 2018. My Alk Phos went down from 246 to 197. I'm happy about that. I am seeing my Hep Dr. on Monday. Am looking forward to hearing what she has to say. Happy Holidays to all of you out there.

Glad to hear you got past the strep throat and feel better for the upcoming holidays! Good timing! I am hoping that the fibrate helps you, there is some good research out there that gives reason to be hopeful. Let us know how you are getting on. Happy Holidays to you too!

Hi everyone! Three months later i’m so happy to report that I have responded well to the Tricor and my ALP has come back to normal-ish range (122, reference is 50-136). My bloodwork has been abnormal and high since December 2016 and was as high as 397 before i started the Tricor. I feel good and i am so thrilled and grateful to be where I am. This is a long journey and normal ALP does not mean normal liver, i get that, but it’s the most encouraging development I’ve had yet. Hoping for continued good health here and wishing all of you the same. Xo
