ANRC Plus instead of B complex?

The below is my own work which I am simply sharing. I have no other agentia other than to invite comments and zero expectations. I make no claim to legitimacy or accuracy. I have less than zero medical training.

It makes sense to me that any supplement should be checked to insure that an ingredient in one supplement plus the same ingredient in another supplement does not result in a dangerous amount being taken.

Methodology: I listed the ingredients from a random B-complex with amounts and under the items on that list listed the ingredients in common with ANRC Plus amounts.

B-complex—90mg Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)

ANRC Plus—30mg Vitamin B1 (As Thiamine Hydrochloride)

B-complex—90mg Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid)

ANRC Plus—30mg Vitiamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid As Calcium-D-Pantothenate)

B-complex—70mg Inositol

ANRC Plus—100 mg Inositol

B-complex—50mg Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

ANRC Plus—40mg Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

B-complex—40mg Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)

ANRC Plus—40mg Vitamin B6 (As Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate and Pyridoxine HCI)

B-complex—30mg PABA (Para-aminobenzoic acid)

Not an ingredient in ANRC Plus

ANRC Plus—B-complex—30mg Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA)

Not an ingredient in ANRC Plus

B-complex—25mg Vitamin B3 (Niacin)

ANRC Plus—25mg Vitamin B3 (As Niacin and Niacinamide)

B-complex—300 mcg Biotin (Vitamin B7)

ANRC Plus—500 mcg Biotin

B-complex—200 mcg Folate (L-Methylfolate)

ANRC Plus—600 mcg DFE Folate as (L-5-Methylfolate Calcium Salt) (Note: DFE stands for Dietary Folate Equivalents. I have no understanding.)

B-complex—200 mcg Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin)

ANRC Plus—600 mcg Vitamin B12 (As Hydroxocobalamin and Methylcobalamin)

B-complex—Other Ingredients: None

ANRC Plus—There are many other ingredients ANRC Plus that I looked at but have no knowledge of.

Effect of a vitamin/mineral supplement on children and adults with autism pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/221...

I chose to do this work when trying to evaluate B Complexes. I concluded that B complexes were created as a product without any studies done to assess effectiveness. Does not mean they do not have value, just means they may not.

I decided to look at supplementation for autism which is a neurological disorder. Mostly as I assumed they had the best funding.

I have not reached a conclusion as to which supplement I choose to take. I am leaning towards ANRC Plus simply is there are studies that the neurological symptoms of people who experience autism benefit from ANRC Plus.

Or might just take snake oil and call it good. 🙂

I thought this was a really good and very diligent piece of work. It’s thought provoking and really gets you thinking about the cocktail of medicines that we can sometimes take and the unknown impact of combined ingredients. I think when a doctor prescribes a medication they are unlikely to fully evaluate all the possible interaction implications with other medicines. Reflecting on my own history, I think I’ve had various negative effects from prescribed medications that were given with the best intentions. I figure that whilst we need to retain some confidence with the medical profession, we are probably our own best doctor. It’s only us who know how we feel and how our body is responding to interventions. Therefore, before taking anything it’s best to perform our own due diligence recognising that the internet is both a valuable source of information and full of error traps with misinformation. I think this forum is a valuable source of information if used with challenging mindset. Thanks for your post.

I did some more research and the ANRC Plus has lithium which for me makes it a no go. Pretty much it is a backdoor way to medicate children in my opinion.
