FERRITEN b12 h pylori

So went b12 low I June thus year 124 level was nauseates first symtom and mild ear hiss

Had loading doses 2 weeks in June continued 1 month

Felt worse

Got worse

Folate was also low was given folic avid tablets

Felt even more worse

Heard you need b12 and folate together

Question

I still got worse

So

I opted fir a h pylori test

Came back abnormal had the triple therapy

It’s now gone

Was retested and all clear plus endoscopy all clear

But endoscopy showed mild gastritis

As I was so nauseaus still and heaving and generally yuk

All I know symtoms of b12 and gastritis

PA hadn’t been confirmed

Intrinsic factor normal

P/cell normal

Had the h pylori treatment still unwell

Hospital for week

Sent home with ppi tablets

2 A day I’m on day 4 seem to be helping not heaving as much and not as sicky

But thus happened towards the night time

I can’t get a full night sleep as it wakes me

Hoping this will subside with the ppi meds

I still have b12 as I started to SI myself

Alternate days no improvement

Am I making my gastritis worse ? By injecting into tummy area ?

I’m not sure

Or

Is my FERRITEN the cause

As well it’s at 37

I’m shakey legs weak legs floppy arms mainly towards night time

Feel unsafe

Legs like they will give way

Weak

Ear hiss still present that changes through out the day

No appetite

Lost over a stone in weight to

Palpitations slight

Legs feel like I want to keep moving them horrible feeling really can’t keep them still

So was wondering

If h pylori and the ppi meds plus gastritis all mixed in

Had caused me a further issue

The Gp says my FERRITEN is ok

But I dint feel ok

Optimal I think is between 50 and 150

So I’m not that low but low enough to cause issues ? At 37 maybe lower now as not eating as can’t eat for days Gp gave me Esure but I can’t even stomach that

I really am struggling here with this

I’m thinking it can’t be b12 as I’m never this weak

And the ear whooshing has increased ?

All I know is

It’s mild gastritis which h pylori prob caused

Would it have lowered my iron to ?

Will I ever go back to absorbing b12 etc

I hear that once he pylori is treated and gone you can eventually go back to absorbing from food

I eat meat etc and veg

Do I think the original issue was h pylori ?

It’s only mild gastritis and the ppi should heal this

On day 4 it’s improved a bit I’m not heaving but still no appetite and weak mainly legs arms legs mostly

This is all recent

Sorry to hear you have been so poorly.

You need time to recover from the treatment you have had for H-pylori. I would try a pribiotic . Antibiotics causes upsets and it takes a while for your stomach to settle.

Look at tour diet to eliminate anything that makes you feel sick.

Fodmap a good guidance

Give yourself some time.

Ferritin levels 37 shoukdnt be giving too many symptoms. I would discuss with Gp . You are right 50+ good. 37 okay though.

At present though even if the doctor condones iron I would wait as notorious for tummy upsets.

Injecting 2" away from belly button will not make tummy issues worse in my opinion.

Sounds like everything needs to settle.

Eat small and often.

Note any foods that upset you.

Ginger can relieve symptoms of nausea.

Avoid caffeine for a while?

Try not to eat too late in the day.

Give your self time and be methodical on your approach to any changes.

Hope you di eventually absorb b12 again.

I hope you get improvements soon. .

May the b12 I jections do their work meanwhile

B12 is ok now as h pylori took my levels low plus folate

The h pylori left me gastritis inflamed tummy

Worst thing ever experienced tummy is so gnawing sore from what it did

Hopefully the tummy is trying to heal niw from the meds which I hate taking once healed I can wean off it’s been 4 months of this but only 18 days on the meds

So u mean the ear hissing was due to th pylori? That was resolved when the bacteria was gone?

Hi H pylori inflamed tummy so acid in tum irritates it

It also creates a higher acid in there plus I smoked double trouble

I do not smoke now

No I still have the ear hissing as acid in tummy is still irritated the lining of tum

So acid level is a kinda reflux thing

And the vagus nerve etc is very near there

Soon as tum heals and acid in tum can go back to normal after I wean off ppi meds this should go

It alternates in the day as from food etc

As ppi only blocks out a certain amount

And what’s left is still irritating my stomach

And reflux sinus area

So no it wasn’t b12

I’m checked every 12 weeks and levels all good still high

My folate iron is ok as well
