Yrs I would keep up the b12 while you are healing . Small steps at a time .
I'm hindsight I think I shouldve stayed on weekly injections but as i managed to get 2 weekly from my doctor stuck with that for a year. Who knows?
Frequency takes so long to work out . It will take you time to work out what you need and how administered. Even if slow I hope your start moving g in the right direction. T C
Yes. Wasnt easy to get . I just kept pushing. Tried other things she suggested so she knew it is b12 I need . She had plenty of opposition from peer Gps. A letter from neuroloy helped. Didnt stayed 2 weekly but ' frequent' and condoned Sc in the current climate off llicience.
I alsi bought some with help on here. So every 6th day at present.
I have symptoms every day. Much improved over 2 years. I've not had a clear picture with frequency. All o know is it keeps the worst symptoms away. I was on every other day for months . Weekly then 2 weekly now every 6th day. I do not change things quickly as I want to have some idea what happening. Same with supplements and attempts at exercises!
My diet kept me healthy before si it's not diet. I cant absorb any form of b12 in food or tablets or sublinguals ect. Or if I can it not enough for my body. I also think once on injections it's hard to reverse. Although one friend went vegan . Got some vague symptoms low b12 caught in time had b12 injections . Changed her diet. Ha s had no more injections since March and is well. She is very fortunate to have a good Gp who acted so quickly. Hers was obviously dietary and caught in time. She sid she felt no difference from injections. She was seen sent for an endoscopy as a pain in her side . Al clear and symptom free now.
I have probitics but not taken yet as bit reluctant as my tummy has gone through so much since June thus year and that can also give some side effects to
I’ve had many of these same issues as you were having, most if not all doctors these days, waste money and time with not only diagnosis, but with tests. I found immediate relief from many symptoms by going “gluten free”, I still have to take supplements and pain medication as I’ve only been gluten free for 6 weeks. I am curious is you also have a rash anywhere on your body? My rule of thumb is don’t eat anything God didn’t make naturally first (organic and fresh) and then don’t eat anything you yourself didn’t make. The food industry makes many good changes as far as foods looking prettier and tasting great, but nutritionally we are being starved of vital nutrients and many foods are contaminated with known allergens. I take Calcium (antacids), Vit D, B12, Folate, Magnesium each day, twice a day, in high amounts. Again, I expect all this to change once my body heals and the allergens leave, but until then, I am continuing what is working. I am finally able to have normal stools, less back pain, no ear pain and hearing issues, my rash is healing on my shins (still have eczema on my scalp), and my muscles don’t hurt as much, I don’t have acid reflux from any food including hot peppers. I have had each and every one of your symptoms. You don’t need a diagnosis to correct your body issues, doctors are mostly ignorant about it anyways. If you wish, spend your money on a nutritionist and go from there. If you try this, please keep us informed of your progress.
