Thank you for suggesting I check Vitamin d and for your helpful info, my result has came back on the low side at 28.8, so looks as if I can supplement and hopefully may improve some symptoms! I'm reading on here that d has a link with calcium, so I need to request a calcium test? Can I ask if there is more than one or if this is included in an electrolyte test please?
Also, I wondered if anyone could suggest any other test worth requesting please? So far I've had
B12 456 (130-1100)
Ferritin 12ug/l (23-300)
Serum folate 6.1 (2.7-15)
Tsh 1.88 (0.35-3.5)
Free t4 15mpol (8-21)
Fasting glucose 6.3 (3.5-7.8)
I've been advised to ask for an iron test although not sure if they can do this whilst I'm taking iron and a Hba1c for blood sugar. Any suggestions greatly appreciated thanks. Thanks for the tip to checkout the thyroid sites, a wealth of info there too...
Many thanks Jo

suggest you look at link on following post in relation to vitamin D - not about testing but about mechanisms that mean vit d is important in fighting inflection
Many thanks Gambit62, the link worked fine. Also found a link that was recommended called D for Debacle, a fascinating 90 minute lecture via You Tube. I'd have had no idea I was so low in this if it wasn't for the helpful people on this site.
