Update steroid guided injection

Hi everyone hope you are well today. Well my pain with piriformis coming back with a vengeance I've asked for a 2nd injection as the pain reduced by 80% but now it creeping up badly. I've had a terrible night and morning si far. 🙃🤞the 2nd one does more for me

Hi Bobly90 I got the injection on the 15th of December 2023 it was great at first but now it seems one good day next day bad that's the pattern is following. I'm on gabapentin etc I tried pregablin once but I didn't like the way they changed my mood so back on gabapentin which I've bern on for years. Where us your pain ? If you don't mind me asking ?

Hi again sorry I waited almost a year for injection before it was done. Piriformis muscle in buttock going into spasm and in turn upsets the sciatic nerve the pain in my buttock just awful can't walk for hours having to use massager every day. My pain consultant did arrange it as fast as he could to be fair but Piriformis is misdiagnosed alot but I can tell the difference its not just sciatica. Hope this helps you just push in there and tell them it really needs investigated urgently

Do you ever get like electric shocks down your leg ? It's so so sore and scarey !!! This all started after I had a hip injury I've had back surgery done too its just bern non stop since my early twenties. Hope you get some answers good luck
