Hi, i have blocked arteries in leg and the hospital couldn't do bypass or anything else, because of the pain ,i agreed to have it amputated and went into hospital Janurary to have operation. While there

they discovered i had lung cancer and wouldn't operate and sent me home,

I have got ulcer on foot, on the ankle bone, due to poor circulation. it been there for 9 months nearly and wont heal. i attend podietrist every week . the pain is horrific and doctor prescribed me co-codamol and just recently pregabalin 75mg.

i cant walk or put pressure on foot as pain goes mad. I feel im left in a terrible state as in constant pain and feel useless cause i cant do anything.

Any advice would be appreciated.

thank you

Hi id phone doc and say wot you have said on hear Maybe an emergency appointment to get sorted

Additional Pain relief as well

Option with doc

Pregablin can go upto 600mg you have just started though an increase may be possible

I prefer the

Dehydracodine with Paracetamol

As Paracetamol helps other pain relief work

If allowed

Naproxen on top

I'd deff phone doc though

Pregabalin took away my nerve pain entirely. I was on a higher dose than 75mg. I was just happy being pain free.

I presume you've tried malaku honey to heal the ulcer, it's pretty good at sorting out open wounds .

Yeah the podietrist tried the honey...i think because its on the ankle bone it's harder to heal, Horrible things and so painful..thanks for your reply

Hi there.... I had osteomyelitis on the sole of my foot. It was operated on and they debrided the bone and removed the infected tissue. I was left with a massive hole which was packed each day by the district nurse. I also had a vacuum dressing which drains the wound as it socks any fluid from the wound. That all worked for a while as the wound got smaller. I even had maggot therapy to. That helped a lot. Took about 9months in total. Luckily or not I didn't feel a thing. I don't have any feeling in my feet due to severe neuropathy and can't walk as I have no balance because of it. Ask your doctor if they can do the op with an epidural or spinal block? Can they not try and clean out the ulcer and use a vacuum pack? Just some suggestions. I'm also on pregabalin 300mg twice daily. It definitely helps my leg pain. Hope you get some more help from your doctor. Good luck.
