Got D dimer bloods done on Monday. Slightly raised the doctor said so was sent for a scan to rule out a pe. Came back clear but still worried. It came back 899. Was just wondering if that’s classed has very high or not. Anxiety is through the roof

That is nothing compared to mine! The average is 500mg or below mine is now over 1000! The doctor told me that the d dimer test is non specific for diagnosing a clot and it shouldnt be considered as there can be many reasons why your d dimer is raised from infection, to a cough cold etc. I to had an ultrasound of my leg and chest and was told both were clear. This has eased some of my anxiety and today I've been told my leg pain is the result of a pinched nerve. It is horrendous I feel like somebody has stabbed me in the back of the leg, hope you get sorted soon
