Hi all, for the past 2 years i have suffered with constant colds and sore throat, blocked ears and headaches, sometimes as bad as the flu to the point i ache so badly i cannot get out of bed, and fatigued every day. I also find i have tonsil stones every now and then. My flu symptoms now are the worst they have ever been and i am having to take days off work every couple of months. I have been to the doctors a while ago roughly 10 times, had blood tests, antibiotics, nasal sprays, antihistamines, been to ENT specialist, paid to go private and nothing has helped. I am now worrying that i could have something serious
Constant flu: Hi all, for the past 2 years i... - Pain Concern
Constant flu
If not caused by a condition,
Not sure if any of this might help but
General immune boosting anti viral and anti bacterial might be helpful such as
Elberberry syrup or gummies
Then eliminating things from your body one by one,
Ridding your body of sugar and testing one food group at a time for any allergies to foods that might be causing your body to go into fight for flight mode such as
Avoid all gluten for example including beverages with wheat such as beer or malted alcoholic beverage
Do allergy testing with an allergist for Everything and any foods you consume keep a notebook
Try avoiding All drinks and foods with sulfates such as wine or beer
Try Avoiding all soda including diet soda
You could have an allergy to any number of things from minerals in your water, preservatives in your breakfast cereal or something you eat or use on a regular basis that is a toxicity.
Have you tried any or all of these?
Hello eden99
I Thought Pinky2233 reply made loads of sense any immune assisting action has got to be a good idea just be aware of changes you make to your diet and I personally believe
Yoghurt is a great help for things. You have to make sure it is Live Yoghurt and I think Greek is best the liquid that forms on top seems rich in what is healthy.
Good health to you x
This is another thing to test also. some people are allergic to pills or the coatings and the main allergy symptoms to most things can be cold& flu like symptoms. As it is persistant I would follow the process for eliminating possible food allergies as suggested, then next stage is could be a cleaning material or the like. This will keep you busy for quite some time. Hope you find the answer soon. Take care
I've been like this it's horrible my anxiety is through the roof I'm okay for a few days but then get coldy sore throat ear ache etc, have you spoken to your gp or a nurse on the 111 service if you have this it might be of some reassurance. Try and sit in the sun for abit if you can drink plenty of water and try to relax. I hope I've helped somehow if you need anything just shout I'm on alot of the groups on fbook too emmylou Flowers your welcome to add me take care x
Sounds like you may have chronic tonsilitis. There's a knock on effect to tonsil stones and and reoccuring tonsilitis can cause the symptoms you are describing. Have you discussed the possibility of a tonsilectomy with your GP... they don't like to do it nowadays especially for adults, because the healing time is much longer and there can be complications.
If you are eating a healthy diet, including plenty of the foods and herbs, spices etc which are good for the immune system, then that will help...but do keep off of processed and sugary foods and drinks.
Hi. I feel for you. 10-15 years ago I would get pneumonia, get antibiotica, 2-3 days later I would get a throat infection, antibiotica, repeat, repeat.
Then I read about Hydrocortisol and the Adrenals. With the help of my doctor I was tested and started using hydrocortisone. In the intervening years I have had a few 'small' colds at most. You need to get an ACTH test. It shows how much
Cortisol your body produces when it is under stress. It should produce 300-600% more (for a short while) when you become ill.
This is the book I startet with: Safe Uses of Cortisol by William McK, MD Jefferies
I hope this is of some help for you.
I wish you good health!
Best regards
Hanne
Thank you all for your comments! I forgot to add i have also been to an allergist and there was no allergies/intolerances showing up, i will keep going back to the doctors when this lockdown is over, stay safe everyone x
