Where do I go from here?

Hi lovely ladies. Ok, so, diagnosed April 2021 Stage 1V HGSOC with spread to lymph nodes in neck and chest. No option of surgery because of spread. 6 rounds of Paclitaxel/Carboplatin. Reduction in tumour. Straight on to Avastin plus Olaparib (HRD negative). No more cancer in lymph nodes but slight progression in main abdominal tumour. 5 rounds of Carboplatin before progression. 2 rounds of Caelyx. Progression of size of tumour more than 20% so told Caelyx isn’t working. I’ve just been told, as I am relatively well, my best option is to see if there is a clinical trial out there for me. What do you think please? As always I value your experience and knowledge. Thank you. Gill X

Hi Guilane,

Of course you must seek out trial options. Ovacome and Macmillan May be able to point you in the right direction or to a website that lists all the ongoing OC trials. Can’t your onc find these.? Good luck xx Emma

Thank you for your response Trickysite. Yes my onc is going to refer me, Royal Marsden then UCLH, then Oxford. Take care Gill X

That sounds like a good idea. I am at the Marsden. Btw, what is the Oxford Hospital called? With love and best wishes, Emma x

Oxford hospitals are either The John Radchiffe or The Churchill, Oxford.
