Niraparib side effects

hi everyone, I’ve got grade 3 high grade serous ovarian cancer, I finished 6 rounds of Paclitaxel and carboplatin in Desember. I’ve just started 200mg Niraparib three weeks ago but seem to have developed swollen legs, has anyone had any experience of this?

Paclitaxel and going away for a few days

Do you think my husband would be able to have his paclitaxel infusion at the hospital in Plymouth instead of the usual Newcastle hospital? If he gets a PICC line put in could he be given the paclitaxel solution to use when away? Just trying to continue having some sort of normality in our lives …

Reaction to Chemo Drug

I suffered an immediate severe reaction to chemo drug Paclitaxel and had to have an antidote administered in order to recover. The other2 drugs were ok(Carboplatin & Bevacizumab). I was told that some ladies have this reaction but when they take this drug a 2nd time they have no problem.

the man ( woman) with a treatment plan says :

Combined chemo ( carboplatin and paclitaxel )once a week / radio every day mon to fri for 6 weeks followed , if I’ve got the appropriate markers with immunotherapy as follow on … they said  it was a brutal regime but they are aiming for a curative outcome ( this was tempered with the high % of recurrences

ICON8 Trial

I thought I'd already heard them and let you all know but for those that don't know anything about it, it was a trial to see if giving carboplatin every three weeks and paclitaxel once a week for a total of eighteen weeks would be better than giving both every three weeks.

Failed tumour surgery, what are my options now?

I underwent radical debulking in June followed by 6 cycles of carboplatin and paclitaxel chemotherapy which finished in November 2022. I had a PET scan in December and was told in January 2023 that I had disease progression and a new tumour in the pelvis.

Scalp Cooling Saves Hair in 75% of Cases

This multi-center clinical trial, just published in Supportive Care and Cancer, studied reducing post-infusion cooling time after weekly paclitaxel to 20 minutes and demonstrated similar success rate of 75% compared to the usual 90-minute post infusion cooling.

Recurrence for clear cell ovarian cancer

I started paclitaxel and carboplatin and had 6 cycles every 3 weeks finishing on the 27th September. My CA125 remained at 10. I began Niraparib in the November and my CA125 was already starting to rise although I didn't know until just before christmas when I went to see my oncologist.

Paclitaxel Acute Pain Syndrome

Hi everyone. I began Taxol Friday. I was not at all apprehensive since I had taken the drug 11 years ago. I thought I knew what to expect. I left the clinic on a steroid high. No pain. Very little fatigue. I even had dinner guests. But the clock struck 10 p.m. and pain began building. By 3 a.m. it was

Treatment Options at 2nd recurrence.

In addition, there's also the question of sequencing, with one oncologist strongly recommending going with the standard of care they know works, ie avastin + paclitaxel, and seeing where I am with the trial after the treatment in option 1.

Mixed response to treatment , not the results I was expecting from Paclitaxel, perjeta & herceptin.

I talked with my oncologist yesterday afternoon about my recent Ct & bone scans , these were the 1 year scans since my last Paclitaxel treatment .
