Hi everyone, I'll be starting carbo/caelyx next month 6 cycles for 1st recurrence. Does anyone know if this combo doesn't work, what will they offer to me next ?

Hi beautiful ladies, I’ll be starting carbo/caelyx on Monday 1st recurrence , any tips. I’m a bit nervous even though I’ve been on carbo/taxol and niraparib . Had a tough time with it but don’t know what to expect for carbo/caelyx. I hear different experiences from everyone.

Either way Caelyx is apparently not for me :( Anyone experience with weekly taxol ? thank you dear ladies 🙏🍀

My oncologist offered chemo (Carbo/Caelyx) as my next option. He explained that the chance of reacting to the Carbo would be increased and that if I was unable to tolerate it I would receive Caelyx on its own and I explained that I felt frightened by this prospect.

I’m wondering how much hair loss people have had on Caelyx? The nurse thinks I probably don’t need scalp cooling. I’ve been on carboplatin and paclitexal for 3 cycles, using the scalp cooling. My hair is much thinner but still there.

I had just my second chemo of Caelyx & Carbo and I suffer from stomach issues almost whole time. Is day 8 and is still need to throw out every day, even if there is nothing in my stomach - then is acid coming out. The medicine against nausea doesn’t make difference.

Hello all. It has been awhile since I have posted. I have read many posts from others that are also on this chemo. I had been on extremestane and everolimus since Feb after biopsy showed no mutations. Numbers up and down - over all stable with no new bone lesions, but more nodes. Dr started chemo above

Evening I am struggling with eating most meals feeling sick and/ bloated half way through or straight after. Been having smaller portions and avoiding rich spicy food but still it continues on a daily basis. It’s really getting me down now. I’m about to have my fourth treatment of six. Any advice?

Lovely ladies, I am suffering already for 3 weeks with bloated belly since I had been throwing up a lot after my 3rd caelyx/carbo infusion. My doctor gave me medicine to keep bowels moving and dietologist adviced eating like baby to get the digestion moving.

Just wondering if anyone has had the combination of carboplatin and Caelyx for recurrence? I had review following scan this week and was told some recurrence in lymph nodes, pelvis and axillary.

Dear ladies, anyone experienced bowel obstruction while on Caelyx/Carbo? I just had my third infusion and already experienced bloating of belly and heavy cramps and vomitting after second infusion if I ate someting complicated but this time cannot keep any even small and simple food inside.

so, have started Caelyx every 4 weeks as carboplatin and paclitaxel and Niraparib have stopped working. Surgery to remove peritoneum and resection liver not an option. Does anyone have experience of just Caelyx? Is it effective on its own? Thankyou

Hi everyone, I'll be starting my Carbo/caelyx or my onc might put me through Carb/taxol again (I had this when I was first diagnosed) and she said they will add Avastin to this combo for the 6 cycles.

I’ve read that some had carbo caelyx for their first recurrences.

I have just finished six rounds of monthly Caelyx only. This is my fourth line of chemo ie. Third recurrence.While my CA125 didn't go down to normal level it was decreasing steadily until I got my results yesterday for the fifth round . It had risen to 257 from 189. I was really upset with this.

The disease has spread further in my liver and peritoneum so he is now treating me with caelyx which will be once every 28 days can anyone advise me as to side effects, is it like carbo/paclitaxel….bad for a week then you start to recover in time for the next session? Big thanks Skyeplus

Previously: Carbo/taxol/avastin, carbo/caelyx, Niraparib. I have just had treatment 2 of cycle 1 of carbo/gem and I have a very itchy red rash between my neck and just below my breast. I am using e45 and taking anti histamine at present.

Told carbo sensitive so started on Caelyx. Only 2 rounds but oncologist not happy ca125 rising rapidly so now on weekly paclitaxol. Just had one round starting round 2. But my Ca125 is up to 4009. I'm so scared. I'm just hoping the next few rounds start to bring it down.

All new growth from recurrence is NED, good partial remission 😊 I had 6 cycles of Caelyx/Carbo after recurrence when 7 months of PARP Olaparib should have but hadn’t work, instead had new growth. I also started Avastin privately with Lloyds home service.

She will start 2nd line treatment of Carboplatin and Caelyx soon, 6 sessions, 1 every four weeks. Does anyone have any positive stories they can share with me to offer some hope. We are devastated!
