I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! I was diagnosed a year ago June with OC, stage 4 that spread to a few lymph nodes, stomach lining, liver and colon. Surgery and chemo has definitely helped but I am platinum resistant (which is disappointing). In any event, over the past several weeks, when I started my 3rd line of treatment with taxol and avastin, I’ve noticed my lower back really bothering me. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Could be side effects. Could be cancer spreading. Or, could also be reduction in activity due to Covid. It’s always something, isn’t it!?!?

I have stage 4 inoperable on all the usual bits plus lymph nodes liver and spleen. I to suffer lower back pain. A friend of mine who had colon cancer had all his pain in his lower back so I have put it down to inflammation in those areas will tell consultant when I see them.
Yes I have the dreaded back ache too. Not helped by a recent wrestling bout with my mobility scooter! Mine is compounded by steroid use which has caused crumbling of the upper back. The lower back I have always assumed is part of the symptoms from liver and colon metastasis. I also have osteoporosis and the GP is a bit concerned about that. Might be good to ask for an X-ray and or bone density scan.
Just to say had a dodgy back prior to OC, It was better during treatment, and then when I got moving again was giving me some problems . So inactivity could be a factor possibly? Just a thought
