Still going strong. Don’t post much-perhaps the nature of ‘doing well’ bug of course, I know u newly diagnosed ladies need to know that treatment WORKS in so many cases.
In Italy right now, next check up in November & if I can get to Christmas it will be 4 years out of treatment.
My wonderful onco in Guernsey says if I can get to 5 years without further treatment, my chances of making it to 10 go way up.
Are any of you ladies going to the BRCA meeting on the 23rd November in Salisbury? Wd love to touch base.

Yes. I think it’s for life, however there is now no doubt the Metformin is beneficial in many conditions as well as cancer. Don’t know if the evidence is out there for the other drugs but I feel fab
Thank you. I'm now on the protocol but started it just after my ca125 started to slowly rise in May. I'm going to continue on it anyway as I'm tolerating it with no problems. Take care xx
That’s really great news, thank you so much for posting. You are so right to say we all need to hear that in some cases the treatment works.
I’ve recently had my scans and NED result but finding it hard to believe that I’m through and already wondering when and how it will return?! I’m not going to carry on like that I’m determined to overcome this mindset but I guess it takes time as with every aspect of the disease. I’m going to Barcelona next week for my first away trip and then planning Italy for next year!!
Enjoy the rest of your holiday and wishing you the very best of luck to reach your 4 and 5 year goalposts!!
