Reoccurance

Hi ladies,please can you help.Has anyone had a reoccurance in the adrenal gland? Apparently I have been told this is very unusual,and have been told to "watch and wait" rather than treat me straight away.I have no symptoms,and living a good life,but am worried about leaving it.Many thanks x

Hello. I haven’t had this experience so can’t offer much advice. I do know that I would find it very hard to watch and wait. On what basis do they say this? Are you having regular blood tests? What is your CA125? Maybe talking to your CNS or one of the Ovacome Support Team would help clarify the situation. Stay positive ! [Edited by Ovacome Team]

Thanks so much for your response,my CA125 is 62,so still low but the tumour in my adrenal gland is over an inch,I will take your advice,as I am struggling to watch and wait 😒

I would definitely speak to someone and as trickysite says take the advice of a second opinion. Are you at a specialist cancer hospital?

I am under Stoke Mandeville,but referral was at Tbe Churchill in Oxford.

Ask for a second opinion from a leading cancer hospital e.g. Marsden or Christies. You are entitled to this under NHS. Very good luck, Emma x

I've had the adrenal gland show up twice on pet scan's then it disappeared I'm due for another pet next week so we'll see if it it pops up again. I would get a second opinion targeted radiation maybe an option.

I just had a CT scan and it showed an exophytic nodule on my left adrenal measuring 11X10 mm.

Now I am concerned, even though it also said both Adrenal Glands appear normal.

I will talk with my oncologist about it.
