scar tenderness

Hi all, greetings! Would sure appreciate your input - my debulking surgery was 15 months ago. Chemo finished 8 months ago. This passed week I’ve noticed parts of my scar are tender to the touch - especially at the top end of the long scar and above. Have any of you had similar this long after surgery? I am scheduled to see my onc/surgeon the end of this month for my 2nd four month check-up. Thank you for sharing! I appreciate it! Elayne

Hi ElayneZ

I do remember having mild discomfort for months after the scar healed.. I think I sometimes pulled it or stretched either skin or muscle underneath...not anything dramatic just a bit..’ow’. xx

Hi my mums having similar issues still but it happens when my mum over pulls or bends as she’s a cleaner and does a bit of lifting furniture her heeling process is a bit slower I think due to her job she describes it as it feels like a grazing feeling 🤔when you fall down and you graze your knee and you get that stinging and tenderness afterwords it like that inside her stomach my mum is 17 months past chemo and does have brilliant days but then now and again gets a pain that reminds her of what she has gone through I suppose it’s the norm as they say all I can say as I do to my mum just take it easy and take each day as it comes it will improve with time what you ladies go through like my mum is a massive operation then chemo on top bodies recover at different rates all my best Elaynez I’m sure you will better just takes time 😘
