Good News another remission

Dear all, Just to Let you know after 6months of Carboplatin and caelyx for a first reoccurence I got my scan results today and The great news Is that I am in remission. A As you All can understand I am thrilled I really thought it had not gone away because I have had some dragging PAIN down my left hand side . Anyway the scan shows I have diverticulitis and need a course of antibiotics but it could have been a lot ,lot worse . Love to you All, Chris

I am stable for now thank you for asking, Finished Avastin in Sept 2015 and my onc seems happy enough. Yes I have aches and pains but that is part of the course

Hi, I understand you are starting the regime fairly soon. I have to say I have had few side effects .A little bit of constipation which it was sorted very quickly with movicol, no soreness I did use moisturiser but not as regularly as I should have. Managed to go Away and continue to,look after my elderly Mum shevdidn,t even know I was having chemo. So good look mot you and I hope you have few side effects and get into remission with the regime.

May your remission never end . Enjoy that barn dance. I'm going to a benefit function for my cancer care centre. It involves some Irish dancing and seeing as I have two left feet I don't think Riverdance will be signing me up any time soon. Enjoy your wonderful news.

Hi Chris

Glad you had a good time. It wasn't Irish dancing after all . In fact it was a Country and Western band and they really got people on the floor. I even inflicted my lovely dance partner with my two left feet ! Mostly it was enjoying the atmosphere with a white wine or two. Tomorrow was to be my oncology appointment day but hurricane Ophelia has taken care of that. All outpatients appointments are cancelled tomorrow . It's disappointing as I just wanted it over. I'm glad though that they made that decision as it saves me from making one. Take care
