Hi All, I hope you are all in the best place physically, mentally and spiritually that you can be. I am been treated for my second reoccurence and having single agent Carboplatin which I have had before with another agent. Although it has really wiped me out physically the good news is That my .CA 125 is 15 yippee and the CT scan show the lymph nodes have shrunk and my oncologist is hopeful I will go into remission again. Hurrah 2 more courses to go and if remission is achieved I will start a Parp Inhibitor, hopefully.
If you are on treatment I hope it is going well with minimum side effects . If you are NED long may it last. If you are in remission long may it continue.

Nice one! Do you know what PARP they are thinking of? I'm on Olaparib (on the trial) and have managed 5.5 years so far! I hope what ever you get works for you xx Kathy xx
Thanks Kathy, you are my inspiration, I am BRCA neg so not sure which inhibitor I will be prescribed but I think it will be Niprinal . Long may it continue that you remain in remission. CHRIS
Hello...lovely to hear from you! And with good news. Keep on keeping on with the chemo... before you know it you will be free again. Wishing you luck but I am sure you won’t need it xx
Hi, yes I’ve been back to work part-time since last November. It’s a pretty light schedule (only 2 days per week), but good for my mind to focus on something else for awhile! Wishing you all the best for remission and great success with a parp.
SO happy for you! May I ask how many Carbo treatments you have had? I am basically on my 13th and they keep epi pens and other things at the ready now each time kind of freaking me out.....Carbo works quite well for me (second recurrence now) so I am hoping to be able to continue even in future needs. SO SO glad for you! PARPS are great--kind of gives you a "normal" life back taking pills and not going in for IVs all the time. Fingers crossed it gives you a LONG--if not like Kat-Mal--time on it!!! oxoxoxxo Judy
Hi Judy, I was first diagnosed with .CA ovary 15 years so and hadchemo and surgery then. I was then diagnosed with Primary peritoneal cancer in July 2015 so in all I have had 22 doses of Carboplatin for the first 3 lines another agent was added. I have hadcarboplatin on its own this time 2 more to go. During my last dose I had a local reaction to it came out in hives all along the vein. All they did was resite the cannula and I was fine. I hope your course goes well without any side effects and you go into remission.Chris
Thanks, it sounds ax though the taxol is working for you., I hope that continues with minimal side effects. I like you have a problem with fatique but hay Ho.
