Hi
I usually use MIA for Europe. Average cost £120 for myself and husband however I am now almost 5 years symptom free and it still goes up slightly each year. So this time I tried Insurewith. Cost was £54 for me and hubby for a week in Sicily. Off in 16 days' time. can't wait. Hope you get sorted soon and have a great holiday.

Hi
We used Insurepink. They asked lots and lots of questions but gave the best quote for a week long Cruise on the Medeteranean. We went to Israel last year and used my bank insurance. They would not cover the cancer but as I felt well and was not on any treatment we took the chance and all was fine. I am sure lots of the lovely ladies on the site will have helpful ideas for you.
have a great time

Hi, I used mia insurance in November for 2 week Caribbean cruise and it was very reasonable plus I do have tumours which they knew but as long as my doctor said I was fit to travel and I wasn't waiting to start more treatment they were ok. Macmillan ensure lists some other companies
Good luck

I use All clear they are reasonably priced
I got a good quote from insurewith for a trip to lanzarote which I took up. Avis
I've just been looking into this and the two that came out the best were MIA and Insurewith.
If you look at the small print, I think the MIA policy has the edge, but that probably depends on where you're going and what you're doing.
As others have found, it's a ridiculous world out there.
My current annual insurers for Europe (excluding condition) wouldn't insure me for a couple of weeks further afield including condition.
So the range of quotes went from uninsurable to nearly (gasp) £4000. Both these company's premiums seemed reasonable to me and the people I spoke to were pleasant to deal with.
And thank you to the previous posters who recommended them!
Hi, I went to Spain for 5 days in March and I tried to get insurance to cover my cancer. The cheapest quote I got was £995. I was horrified, for 5 days!!
The upshot, I got a normal travel insurance policy from M&S to cover non cancer related things and because it was Europe, made sure I had my EHIC (the old E111 card) with me. I am off to Lake Garda on 2nd May and as we bought a multi trip policy, it will cover us again. If I was going outside Europe I would purchase special insurance but I refuse to pay that kind of money for a short trip within Europe. It would be cheaper to get a flight home!

We had MIA last year for a trip to Holland, but they wouldn't insure me in February of this year for a cruise up the coast of Norway. I have several tumours, & had just finished a course of chemo. I'm also diabetic, which insurance companies don't like. But MIA said they would have insured me without any problem if I had stayed on the mainland rather than cruising.

Following on from my previous reply - we went on the cruise, but with Free Spirit, which I felt was far too expensive, (there are cheaper options around) but went with it as we were booking at short notice, & we had limited time to shop around. I had heard that Insurewith is quite reasonable, but they said they would have to wait until 4 weeks after I'd finished chemo (company policy) before considering me, & we needed to get the insurance sorted.
