Hi Ricky.

I used 'Insurewith'. I think many ladies in here have used them.

I'm on avastin still so was refused by three insurers but 'Insurewith' insured me for a two week holiday to Cuba for £114.

Good luck. Xxx

Hello. Completely understand how you feel about insurance! There have been a few posts about this recently. Personally I can recommend Eurotunnel for European travel. You don't need to be using the tunnel though! All you need is to have had confirmation from your oncologist that you can travel. Where are you going? I always think the planning stage is half the fun!

Hi

I am a 1c1 and finished chemo end January

I recently did the depressing round of travel insurers and prices and responses varied considerably.

I eventually got an ANNUAL Worldwide policy for £130 with £550 additional excess for any claim related to declared conditions.

I have just returned from three weeks in Florida and shortly off to Las Vegas for a week with my son 🤑..... then Spain, then Austria, then Vegas again and finally three weeks in November in the Bahamas.

When asked if my recent troubles have had any lasting effects I say "hell yeah, I now like to travel" !! 🤣

Insurance is with holidaysafe, who also are associated with several other names including insurancewith and Boots (can't remember the other names), all at the same address and with the same underwriter. Interesting though is that insurancewith refused me an annual policy... so do try each one as they quote separately.

Happy travels

Carole xx

Try putting in the details as if you had just finished the chemo and the departure date the same number of days in advance as it will be when you have really finished. Obviously you won't be able to use the quote to buy the insurance but it should give you a good idea as to what's possible when you do finally finish. I did this for a number of different permutations while I was on my first chemo

Insurewith are excellent, they ask quite a few question that apply to our condition which I thought was really good and they're not expensive. I've used them a few times now. Hope you have a lovely well earned holiday. Good luck with the rest of your treatment ❤️Xx Jane

Hi Ricky,I tried insurewith but unfortunately they would insure me for everything else bar illness due to cancer so used my European health card instead.

My husband suggested that.... will that be enough? Thank you x

It entitles you to treatment in a public hospital in European countries. You can look up on line the countries that are covered and their use of the European health card.I always translate my health history and photo copy my latest scan and have my oncologist, gps and liason nurse phone number written in file.xx

I too go with Insurewith. They were very careful to ascertain what cover I already had and so just quoted for anything cancer related. It was about £250 for 4 weeks in New Zealand. Now about to call them to get cover for a similar trip early next year. Enjoy your trip! X

I use MIA travel insurance for people with pre existing medical conditions. I have found them very helpful and competitive.

I've got my insurance with Boots to tho to New York in August.. You comp!eye it on line and you get a price before you have to enter personal and payment details. Make sure your travel companion is on the same policy, that way, if you do get ill and have to stay on, they can stay too. Ann x

Used insurewith yesterday. £32 for a week in Spain. Found the questions very thorough so didn't feel I was with a 'cowboy' company x
