just got my car insurance renew quote should I tell them about my arthritis I applied for blue badge and got it but have not applied for dal

Elaine i can't answer your question about insurance,but i ask why haven't you appliesd for dla. If you have got a blue badge surely that will tell you you need dla. If you get the higher rate for dla you will be able to get a car on motorbility. You forfiet your dla allowance,but you get a new car every three years,insurance is paid as well as road tax. It is serviced for you as well.

Hi Elaine, yes you should inform your insurance company of medical conditions and medications you take your blue badge makes no difference to them. If you don't inform and it comes out later after say a car accident no matter how minor it can invalidate your insurance.

It's always best to inform and save yourself potential heartache in the future.

Thanks sylvi am thinking about dla abit scared because I have never claim for any benefits before and yes new car would be nice got mx5 at the moment getting in and out husband always has a laugh

In response to what Sylvi said, you don't have to claim DLA to have blue badge, though it sometimes makes the process easier, so I'm pleased you've not had a problem getting it without.

Now isnt that interesting because my local authority will only issue new blue badges on production of certificate proving high rate mobility. Leon.
