started humira in feb 24, and still no improvement from humira on my ra. Additionally this is my daily hair loss three weeks into starting. I literally have a mouse’s tail left now. Is this normal ??
hair loss humira. : started humira in feb 24, and still... - NRAS
hair loss humira.
Sorry i can't help you, I have never heard of it so i suggest you contact your Rheumy team asap darling. Hugs, xxx
Doesn’t sound normal but you may have something else going on as well. Only thing to do is go back to your rheumatology team - are you able to email them the same picture? - and ask the question. Hope you get that sorted out very soon!
No but MTX did similar to me and it was stopped as hypersensitive so I’d urge you to contact RA team asap.
if you’re newly diagnosed then the stress can cause hair loss but as the others have said, you should speak to your rheumy and GP in case it’s not the humira 🤞🏻
According to a friend of mine hair loss caused by Humira is rare and if it happens she was told to contact her rheumy team
I would speak with your rheumatologist and get into a different medication. This is obviously a side effect and should be reported. When I started on humira, I got hard donut shaped blisters on my hands and feet and no relief from my RA. Stopped the humira and side effects went away (took about 6 weeks to clear my system). Started on Kineret (daily injections at home) no relief. Started on Tocilizumab (Actemra) and got almost instant relief. My CRP was 159 when I started and within 2 weeks dropped to 80, another 2 weeks dropped to 16. After 6 weeks, CRP was down to 2. Now after 7 years, it fluctuates between 0.2 and 3.0. I am very happy with this biologic and have almost a normal life.
