Took my second injection of Humira yesterday, don’t think it’s kicked in yet, but as I help run a crochet club at the village school on a Friday I would prefer to have the jab in the evening ( get really dizzy all day when I take it) does anyone else take it in the evening? If so is sleeping affected? Thanks for reading! 😊
Humira : Took my second injection of Humira yesterday... - NRAS
Humira
Hello gilox,
I am pleased to report that Humira has had no adverse effects on me. I am susceptible to poor balance following a head injury 6 years ago but Humira does not aggravate it at all. So I don't know how that helps you, but sorry that is how it is.
I take it when going to bed, I found that I sometimes have a headache and diarrhoea so taking it at night seems to work better for me.
Regards Mike
It will take longer before the meds kick in. Over a few more weeks you will be able to work out the best time that works for you or even day and over time the effects may lessen. When I started Abatacept I used to take it on a Friday but then Saturday was bad and at the time my children were younger and needed me more on a Saturday so moved the injection day back to Thursday.
I'm on my second injection too. I take it in the morning for no particular reason and so far i have had no ill effects. I have never slept well so i cant judge whether humira has affected it. I use the injector pen and have found it quite painless and easy to operate. I think i am much better .... no joint pain at all since i started with humira..... fingers crossed it stays this way 😉
I take my methotrexate right before I go to bed ! It doesn’t bother me at all then! Whatever works best for you!
Ive always injected just before going to bed, with Humira, then changed to Enbrel and now Benepali., so that if there were side effects, they wouldn’t affect me. And thankfully, I’ve had no problems.
