Call whichever company supplies them, ask to speak to the pharmacist and ask their advice. They will advise which are best and may even be able to supply something. Depending on the length of the trip it might not be necessary to keep them refrigerated.

Hi it is a worry I am going away for 3 months in May I have a cool bag that keeps cool for 12 hours we are staying in a hotel at the airport and asked if we can put the gel pack in there freezer over night which they are happy to do this for me you just have to has extra gel packs that will last for 24 hrs

I purchased a medactiv cool bag, which keeps my meds at the recommended 2-8 degrees for 12hrs or more. It is a little pricey, but many others don’t guarantee to keep at the low temperature. You can get it with a built in digital thermometer. The one I have costs around £48 now. Here’s a picture of it.

That's why I use and it's very good, we should be exempt from paying VAT as well. I did an overnight hotel and then a flight to the Caribbean using this case. I phoned the hotel and they were happy to put my gel packs in the freezer. I purchased 2 extra ones which I froze before setting off for the hotel. I put them in a plastic box with kitchen roll between them so they didn't stick together and would be flat to go in the case. Arrived at the hotel, handed them the box for the freezer. As soon as we were in the hotel bedroom I put the case with my enbrel in the fridge, it was still around 4 degrees the following morning. We exchanged the gel packs when required. Temperature was still well under 8 degrees when we got on the cruise ship.

definitely worth spending the extra on this type. I must remember your plan of asking the hotel to freeze the blocks, excellent idea 👍

I have one of the packs already mentioned and it is fine for going to Europe. However, I went to Japan via Hong Kong and it didn't last long enough. Someone on this forum kindly mentioned an American company that have flasks that you plug into a USB charger that last much longer. I think that the company were called 4ALLFAMILY. Expensive though. I will certainly get one if I need to travel so far again

When it states cool does it say how cool cool is? Frio wallets say cool but it's not 2-8 degrees.

Depending on your length of stay it doesn’t have to be refrigerated. My nurse told me it’s ok to change your days round. Which I have often done saves me having to both injecting while away. I have been on Humira a number of years and it builds up in your system.

From internet.

Are you planning to take all your Humira with you - enough for your trip? If so - contacting Humira themselves would be useful - they have solutions. Alternatively - are you able to get your UK doctor to find out if it is possible to get your script fulfilled in Australia? That way you can fly out on your week off Humira and get your need injection from an Australian pharmacy.
