Neuro-surgeon and poppy launch.................

Good morning everyone. Well what a day i had yesterday,it started with darling hubbys birthday, then we had to be out early as it was our branch's poppy launch which went very well despite the rain. I got some more glitter pens and two colouring books, ooh and a big pink overnight bag, which i will use for when we have parades which will be a lot in the next few weeks and i can get everything in it and it is a baby pink which is absoutely gorgeous.

Then we had to go down the George Eliot hospital to see the neuro-surgeon. He was a lovely man and very understanding. He showed me the mri xrays which clearly show a very compressed disc which in my mind will need help in the future. He was pleased with the weight loss as he said it will help which was the whole reason for having the weight loss surgery last year. He understood when i told him how hard it was to go swimming and getting dressed/undressed and the pool is not that warm. He was so pleased about the infusion i had the other week and how it has helped my back and i told him that it was a lot better, but hadn't completely gone away, but was managable. He agreed to not do anything at this time, but said if things change to contact his department and he would see me and he will see me in six months.

Then it was home for a light lunch and a sit down until the family arrived to see their dad. My son and his wife came as they had to work so they couldn't come for the meal later on. Then our dear friends came round/over the road. Then we went down to the club and met our daughter and her new boyfriend(well he is certainly not a boy) and very nice he is too,i sure hope this leads to something as she deserves some happiness.

The meal was great,i ordered a salad with a very small steak and a few chips and that is exactly what they delivered. Several on our table said they wish if they had seen my meal that is what they would have had. It was just enough for me and i enjoyed it immensley and when you don't have the stomach it can soon spoil a meal for me when there is too much on the plate. Then it was home and a quiet evening for me and hubby and to be honest that was how we liked it as we were exhausted.

I slept fairly well despite the hour and still getting up in summer time. I will get used to the new timescale in a few days. \I wish you all a lovely Sunday and hugs to you all.xxxxx

This RA is such a cruel disease. You feel a bit better so do a bit more than you know you should, and then pay for it a hundred fold in the following days! I'm about to set off to the Royal Orthopaedic for a ct scan on my ankle.
