My appointment to see the neuro-surgeon was at 8am this morning and i got to see him at 8.30am. He was very nice to me. He showed me my MRI and told me that my compressed disc had got worse and the nerves are struggling more than before trying to get through my spine hence i am in more pain. He is going to get another MRI on my neck as it has been two years since the last one and my neck has been a lot more sore of late. We are on track for the operation on my back in August. Before that i have a holiday of two weeks in Cornwall. I am dreading the trip down there though. I am sure i will be okay.
I have been very down over my back and the pain i am in and today i have been having a bit of a pity party especially after the great pain i was in yesterday.xxxxxxx

Do you have a lumbar cushion you can use for the journey? Also take plenty of breaks on the journey so you can stretch your back . The journey is always the worst bit , I hope you have a wonderful holiday xxx🌸🌸🌸
Not long to wait until August and a lovely holiday to speed the wait and take your mind off it! It must have been most welcome to have a doctor take the time to explain things and be pleasant with it. As to your pity party, have a jolly good wallow then back to being all lovely and upbeat again. Huge hugs
Hi Sylvi, I wondered where you'd been. August isn't to far ahead & you'll soon be back to your old cheerful self. I've had a back op all be it in completely different circumstances, it's not so bad.
Enjoy your holiday if you can, I love Cornwall just sit & watch the sea. X
I am not posting as much darling because it is much of the same all the time darling. I will have my camera with me so there will be a lot of photos to come.xxxx
Pleased you now have a proper plan Sylvi. That's an important part of coping with pain I think, that you've confirmation of what's causing it & have a date to look forward to. Til then treat your back (& neck) with the attention it deserves, no aggravating things & have a lovely holiday, plenty of stops on the way there & back & pacing yourself whilst there. x
