Yesterday we went to the Naidex show in birmingham and it was an interesting day as well. I took my scooter as i knew i wouldn't be able to walk all the way round there. There were a lot of things that we found to be very useful. We brought what looked like a pen and it was in fact a little knife that opens blister packs on tablets, only £3.50. So we brought one. There was another stall selling this sort of thing only this was a thing where youput the blister pack in it and you should be able to just pop them out, only everytime he did it he broke the tablets and at £12.50 we felt it was a waste of money. We also managed to collet a nice lot of pens which were free and they are ideal for my hands as they were thicker where you need to hold them.
They said to make an appointment to see them and they would go through all my needs and see what they can do for me. Anyway there is a stick that i am going to get for my hand and i can get one in PINK so i will look swell with my pink stick.
I was worn out by the time we got home and i won't be doing much today. It is worth a visit and the tickets are free as well.....................

HiSylvia, glad you had a good day. What is Naidex? Never heard of it.
I bought a pen some years ago which was also a mini screwdriver with all sorts of attachments tucked in the handle. Needless to say I have never used it!
Have a good rest today to make up for doing so much at the show.
I went prepared with my scooter, but yes there was a lot of chairs. I saw something that we thought was brilliant a man has adapted a segway for her ,but she can't take it into her hospital because of h&s would you believe.xx
Ye even if you put a new machine microwave or anything they are tested. Suppose if a fire starts through faulty equipment there would be trouble. I suppose he could pay for them to test it at the hospital engineering department if it can be used each visit, but I don't know if they would do it with " home made" almost equipment.
