Champix day 4 tomorrow

Best times to take the two tablets tomorrow?—— any advice? - really need sleep so thought 1st one in morning then 2nd about 4 or 5 ?

Welcome Davidelphick , congratulations on the best decision of your life to stop smoking. I stopped almost 4 years ago cold turkey so can't offer tips on the champix but we have many members here who successfully stopped with the aid of champix, some over their 1, 2 and 3 year milestones.

Champix is not the magic pill, it just takes the edge of the cravings. YOU are doing most of the work yourself to stop. Vivid dreams and nausea is the most common side effects, see below pinned post worth a read if not already done so:

With regards the sleep disruption/insomnia, (this can occur from nicotine withdrawal too), definitely try taking the pills earlier in the evening, avoid caffeine and if you are into it, try some meditation - pinned post below with a free app:

Your stop date depends solely on yourself as everyone is different especially with taking medication but is usually around day 12 you no longer have the urge or want to smoke...

I took mine at the same time every day with breakfast and then dinner. Yes I’d say around 5-6’ish. The more routine you are with this medication the better the results in my opinion.

Hi David,

I take mine at 8am and 4pm. This leaves an 8 hour gap which seems to work for me.
