Trying to keep myself occupied while trying to relax

Day 4

Everything is settling down, not so irritable, although it comes and goes.

Finding it hard to relax of an evening while watching my favourite TV, programs.

If I keep myself occupied then I’ll not be relaxing.

Finding it impossible to relax with out think of a cigarette. Trying to block the thought by having something to eat. But don’t want to start gaining weight.

Hope things like watching Tv can go back to normal. Which I know everything takes time. xx

It will go back to normal in time. It's just a case of getting used to do doing things without smoking. Every time you do something not smoking, it reinforces the behaviour. Hang in there!

Hey michellesdeli46 - glad things are beginning to settle down for you :) Are you going cold turkey this time?

Definitely, cut out on the caffeine if not already done so and get some magnesium as really helps with the anxiety and gives a calming affect. At this early stage, these feelings are normal and will get better as each day passes. You are doing great, keep it up!

Hi Roisin01

I’m not completely going cold turkey.

I am using my Vape but only when I’m desperate, and the cravings are very persistent.

Which I’ve found today only used it three times and that was in the evening.

I’m just taking it one day at a time.

Thinking of different things to do.xx
