Its a little nerve wracking after certain foods how strong cravings are. Watching people smoke on TV...even if the plot line is about the smoker dying at the end...I totally envy them. Unfortunatley, just one drag, or just one cig, doesnt exist. Its a package deal...it comes with all the cons...and considering those cons, I'm glad I'm a non smoker.
Gonna go buy some chocolates...im not gonna fixate on these cravings, im gonna think of something else and get pleasantly distracted

When I first quit the after supper one was the one I missed. So when I was done supper I would chew gum and quickly clean up and go for a long walk. After a couple of weeks I stopped missing this one. But I still walk every night and I enjoy it, Also drank lots of water and some days I walked three or four times. Stay strong you can beat this.
Hi there. I am only on day 5 which is an achievment for me after smoking 45yrs. I know exactly what you mean about the cravings even down to tv programmes! Well done you for 100 days. Hope I can get there too Thunder 2019
Hi Thunder, the 100days mark is old, from a failed quit attempt. Congrats on your 5 days smoke free!! Youve really done your body and mind favor. Do you feel more relaxed and at ease? Wishing you strenght on this day. Drink water and breathe deeply.
Oh yes, watching people smoke reminds me of how I enjoyed it also. I never think geez those poor fools are still smoking. I usually think mmmm, that would be nice. lol Good luck with the distractions!!
When I see people smoking I tell myself this was your old life and you are a non-smoker now. I remind myself how I hated it when I was the only one in the group that smoked and had to sneak out by myself.
It would be great if we could block that voice but unfortunately we have to deal with it. All you can do is keep busy, think of the reasons you are quitting. When that little voice was bugging me I would take deep breaths, drink plenty of water and go for walks. Some days I walked four times but it cleared my head and helped me focus on why I was quitting. Good luck and stay strong.
