While I understand the longer we quit the easier it gets, I have so much on, indeed I,m not a stress you person, but oooooh how I could smoke, as I associate smoking with difficult times.
Today is NOT A GOOD DAY FEELING quite down,
Taking me all my time to go ten mins at a time

hi tracey
I would find it so easy to smoke in stressful moments.but it wont help at all.
Hi Tracey..... So much time can be wasted on a project or a task just by becoming overwhelmed with the difficulty of it. When you get into the mindset of just doing it, no matter what it involves, you’ll find that the tasks become easier and everything flows.
“The most effective way to do it, is to do it.” ~ Amelia Earhart
I have found in stressful times that I can turn this around.
When I smoked and there were stressful times I would have a cig or 3 or 4 or more.
the situation hadn't changed. I didnt feel more in control. just a lot smellier and a sense of nicotine panic.
I would either then, or later beat myself up for smoking more, or drink and smoke more. tbe situation was still there, but now I am crankiers, craving and still needing more and more tobacco.
Each day I have stopped I have experienced something. Sometimes joy, less smell, easier breathing. Other days painful gums, weight gain, spots, cough and minging black lung clearance.
And I remind myself that however difficult a situation is I have pulled myself through to another day.
I have honoured my body and mind. and I can face any situation, however stressful with a stronger sense of self.with no chemicals or poisons and focus on the situation in hand.
The idea of having to start this quit journey again, another time, because I failed is the worse stress I can imagine.
good luck. You can do this and feel AMAZING for doing so
Hey Tracey, great words from Lizzy, Hercu and Firecrow....
As you said, you just have to keep going and for every low mood and every stressful and difficult situation you overcome, it will make you stronger and able for the next one.....strongs xx
