Random pack of smokes

At the movies last night I went in to the public washroom and there in the stall was an open half pack of my brand of ...... Kicked them right off the towel rack and went on my way. I was pretty mad until I realized I didn't even think about smoking them. I'm on day 11 now, using the lowest dose patch. I have cut down coffee. I am finding it pretty hard.I feel bored and upset and listless. Kinda sick. But I haven't even thought about giving up. This must be it for me, finally. I just keep going in my life - walking , working, running, painting , and hope that it starts to feel good again. Im not sure how Im going to leave the patches behind, but that's a problem for another week.

Good luck to everyone out there quitting.

Way to kick those nasty smokes away, figuratively and ... literally 😉

Huge well done KatNL on resisting a huge temptation, continue your new found lifestyle and remember to just take it one day at a time :)

Well done. That's he sort of thing that happens in my dreams, I hope I would have done what you did.

Don't know how long you mean to stay on the patch, but I'm sure that you will feel relieved , it kind of means you're stopped rather than stopping. I am using champix and I was scared about managing without , but now I'm looking forward to it.

I think we've got this!

That's good to hear. I felt that way just before I stopped smoking. I had decided to stop because of something that happened to a friend. We were stopping together. I was smoking just exactly enough to allow me to finish some writing I had to do on deadline. I couldn't wait to finish. I felt like such an absolute addict . I just wanted to put on the patch and get it over with. I hope I feel like that about the patch when it's time.

And you probably would have done the same - it was too weird.

Hi there don’t worry about the patch I was on them for 7 mths but I know people like some doctors that stay on them because they need energy and nicotine to function
