48 hours and counting, had a very rough early morning and a terrible sleep (or lack of) last night. Feeling somewhat better that I didn't cave in to the urge to light up this morning! I'm taking Zyban to help with the cravings....
Cheers to all of us for our determination to QUIT!!

Welcome finallyfinished - congratulations on now day 3, well done!
Sleep disruption/insomnia is one of the most common nicotine withdrawals and many of us here experienced it, myself included. I think mine lasted about 8 weeks - if you try deep breathing exercises when you wake up - inhale for 5 seconds and exhale for 5 seconds, repeat until feeling relaxed, again, avoid coffee especially before you go to bed. Herbal supplements from your local health food shop should be able to help too. Other than these tips, you just have to ride it out, remember, it is only short term, when over this, you will sleep for hours, well, I did anyway, could have slept for 12 hours straight if got the chance
