Guys...I'm back...: I actually never left... - No Smoking Day
Guys...I'm back...
Hi Angelina and welcome back to posting .
Im sure the chantix side effects you are experiencing will slowly diminish as you continue the treatment
I really hope this time is your time to quit forever .
Before I took chantix I did try many times to stay quit with bad results .
Chantix is really effective ! And rumors about Chantix and moods and weird side effects is just part of the quitting process.
I really hope the nausea goes away ..Try taking nausea medication .also ginger tea controls nausea even on pregnancy so hopefully that will help you .
And final as you know alcohol will have to wait for a few months .No matter how good Chantix is ,alcohol can really trigger the desired to smoke , also will interfere with treatment .reduce caffeine and switch to herbal tea with no caffeine .
One day you will determine when is time to celebrate with a drink for now is risky .
Congrats for a great desition ! This is your opportunity to prevent horrible diseases .
Keep it up !⭐️
Hidden Hi, I think you can still drink but not get drunk when giving up,
I'm on day 6 of quitting cold turkey, and I can't quit my routine of a glass of wine afterwork to wind down, but that's just me, I have my wine at home afterwork, I am avoiding bars though because I know bars is a major trigger for me, seeing as other times I've tried to quit going to bars has always done me in, like last time I only lasted 2 days but I was working in a pub...
Angelina.....Karina said it all ...Good advise!!
Herbal tea ..definitely...I used green tea...and sorry for the sugar but sweet..
Great to have you back angelinafoote - below is a link to a pinned post on champix side effects worth a read if not already done so:

hi angelinafoote
the dreaded drink 😁
avoid if its one of your triggers.
the day will come when it is not a trigger
you will have moments, but they will pass
take care 😊
