Hey jakenem , really great to hear from you again, congratulations on over 2 years smoke free, well done, you plodded along nicely and quietly :)

I stopped over 2 and a half years ago cold turkey so can't give any experience on the ecig but we have several members here who successfully stopped smoking and using the ecig and over their 1 and 2 year milestones. Going by their journeys, they gradually weaned themselves off it, reducing the nicotine levels until they were just not getting anything from it any longer. I am sure they will pop in to post and offer you better advice on it.

Jakenem, I used ecigs to quit. I forget the nicotine numbers, but started with high, medium, low, to zero. Used zero nic for a while before I stopped using it. What is the nicotine level of the e-cig you are using?

For me it was a 3-part quit. To get rid of the tobacco, then the nicotine, then the habit. To an extent the hand-mouth habit was harder than the other two. Even when I was smoking cigs in bars, I would light one and generally only have a few puffs, they burned themselves. Apart from the health problems, a real waste of money.

But to your question, after I was on a zero ecig for a while I eventually didn't need it.

Cocoa..Nailed it..it is a matter of getting rid of the habit now...I think it will be the same thing like taking it out of your pocket and put it on top of the fridge..there where you can't get to it easily...

Hello.

I did it by gradually reducing the nicotine strength of the liquid. It really is that easy. Just cut down slowly. So if you're using 12mg, reduced it to 8mg and so on. Bear in mind, if you get yourself some 0mg liquid then you can mix it yourself. Eventually when you're down to 3mg you can dilute it to 1.5mg and then down to zero.

Hi jakenem and congratulation for 2 years ..For what I understand is that e cigs contain nicotine and they are addicting .In USA most e cigs contain nicotine .I use nicotine free device not e cig .I deside to stop the dependence ..I heard nicotine vape is good for people who recently quit and slowly will diminish nicotine content ..Everyone is different but detoxing is always important ..keep it up !

hi jakenem

vape,it certainly helped me,

I know vape is far better than smoking
