So I’m on day 28 saved over £200 tbh don’t know how I found cig money lol

Going to my husbands works xmas do tonight — yes I no it’s late or is it early — so 1st time socialising properly since I stopped

Definitely going to watch the booze especially as hubby still smokes and don’t want to want one xx

Ah great to read ellismichelle - the money saved is definitely amazing (and horrifying what you have spent on cigs in your lifetime smoking, I shamefully could have bought a nice apartment here in Ireland in our capital city or a house in the small town where I live with the money I wasted :O - my current stats are You Have Saved Over €16,991.99 By Quitting Smoking You Spent Over €151,001.67 On Cigarettes While You Were A Smoker) :O :O

Have a great first smoke free night (my hubbys Christmas party is in March!), you are in control of this with the alcohol, just pace yourself and drink lots of water if there is a meal at it, do lots of dancing too :)

I’m not really a drinker so I’m sure il be fine plus it’s my mums birthday today so doing her dinner tomorrow so do not want a hangover lol — it’s terrible when you think how much money we’ve burned — feeling good after my 1st month and enjoying the freedom of not smoking and worrying when I can fit my next cig in especially when it’s freezing 😬

Same here 😒 My app tells me I’ve saved over 2000 Australian dollars, but it’s not in my bankaccount I tell yah!

Makes me wonder where we went without when I was smoking, because tho I’ve spent money a bit easier I’ve definitely not splurged 🤨

Thank you was pleased especially as I had to wait near the smoking area for everyone to get on the minibus — day 31 now 😃had a few cravings this morning but only because I was doing my cleaning and I always used to have a cig after every little job lol but at least it gets done quicker now

Be prepared for these things that you will be doing for the first time smoke free, for example, first holiday, first birthday, first funeral, first wedding, first celebration, first summer, first lawn cut, bbq, etc..... Seasons changing was a biggie for me and sort of hit me like a ton of bricks.....just to make you aware for future cravings ;)
