1 Month Today! Woohoo...

today is my month quit date! So happy! The cravings are nowhere near as bad as I thought. Still get the odd one now and again but not having the big urge to run to the shop like I did before.

my mum smoked in my car the other day as she normally would have with me before, but this time I had to ask her to throw it out, I literally felt like I was choking.

s weird since I never had that even when the two of us smoked together in the car. Sounds horrific!!

the smell of the smoke made me feel like I was being suffocated!

anyways... Woo hoo to me!

Well done, exactly stopped smoking a month ago myself! Going well, though some days I still can't shake cravings, especially in the evening.

I know this may sound weird, but if really bad ( with the need to rationally overcome cravings I experience) I watch anti smoking adverts on line, and that rationally sorts that (especially looking at the effect smoking has had on some people!).

Brilliant, we'll done Irish Guy. That's so good. Them adverts do somethin to me also! I'm using the ecig but wanting to get off that also.

I stopped smoking using an ecig. I gradually cut down the nicotine levels and stopped using it in the car, then just used it after meals then gave it up. I knew when I was ready to stop vaping so give it time. I know some don't like ecigs as a way to quit but this is the first time I've managed to stay quit, I've tried loads of times in the past using just about all methods, cold turkey, nicotine patches, Niquitin etc even Champix but always caved in. This time I know I will never smoke again. Good luck with your quit.

Haha yes we reformed smokers are the worst. I detest that just had a fag breath of colleagues at work - quite disgusted I used to smell like that.

Well done on your month smoke free. Keep going. You are doing great 😊
