Is anyone else on champix and feeling overly tired all the time? Or have any advice whether this fades in the 2nd month (hopefully).

Yes i too became extremely tired 2nd month om champix. I began to wean off at 2&1/2months and began craving. Best advice i have is wean 1/2 tablet off for one week, but if you feel craves worsen go back to normal dose. Them try to wean 1/2 dose mext week. Meaning you would take 1.5 mg daily instead of 2mg daily.

That said withdrawl makes you extremely tired too. Many healing processess have begun in your body and its working very hard.

Good luck and if you try this advice let me know. I reeeally tried to stay on for full 3months because i wanted best chamce of success. I weaned off very slowly. I also had to return to former dose more than once in the weaning off process. I would

Forward advice given me to stay on champix for at least the recommended months.

Again please let me know how it goes. I so understand.

The tiredness will fase, but it will take time. You've come a long way already and should be proud of all efforts. This most definitely is a ride amd theres many here to ride it with you. Stay close. You CAN do this :)

Thanks so much for you good and encouraging words, I also want to stay on them for the 3 months so I have the best chance of staying a non smoker. You sound like your doing really well too. Congrats. I will keep you informed of my outcome.

Huge welcome to our community Beccabooboo on 26 days smoke free, well done. 👍I cannot add anymore to the excellent advice from Exsmo other than lots and lots of water, fruit and veg and bit of exercise daily. Read up as much as you can on smoking and stopping as knowledge is power 💪🍇🍈🍉🍊🍋🍌🥕🌽🍄

How is things now Beccabooboo ? Forgot to add that the tiredness is the most common nicotine withdrawal when we stop, perhaps a trip to your local health food shop for some herbal supplements will help, explain you have stopped smoking and how you are feeling and they should be able to recommend something for you....

Hello, well done on deciding to become a non smoker :)

Champix has made me so so tired and lazy! Honestly I feel like I could sleep all day and night, being off work and lazing around at home isn't helping.

Stick with it though I am sure it will stop soon.

I’ve tried chantix several times. Yuck, it worked but I just couldn’t deal with the nausea every time I took it. So I’d quit.

Hi there. I didn’t feel tired with Champix, just very nauseous. It is a stress taking it though along with the giving up smoking mental yo-yo stress. If you’re tired just go to bed earlier & let your body get the rest it needs. I found going to the gym helped me a lot. Well done on 2 months smoke free. I took Champix for 3 months and almost 6 months smoke free. 👍🏼

Hellooo Beccabooboo! I am on Champix too and also super tired since I have stopped, it's been 26 days for me today. I do not think it is an effect of the Champix but rather of the lack of nicotine as nicotine is a stimulant. I have heard that your energy levels will return to normal with time and we will actually have more energy as we will be able to breathe properly now haha. Good luck!

Hey CARONAL - good to hear from you, sorry to see that you have slipped but huge well done on getting back on track, was it the alcohol that triggered it off again as advised in your reply back in August?
