Day 4 - eliquid dilemma

So I've got a bit of a problem. Some eliquid came in the post, it's got nicotine in it. I ordered it a few days ago in a panic. Should I throw it away? Can I use it? I'm 4 days nicotine free on Champix! I think i will throw it away.

Hey Onedigeridoo - think you have answered the question yourself - you would be going backwards to use it so ya know what you have to do :)

It is perfectly normal to feel this way Onedigeridoo - it is still very early days in your quit and your body is only starting the recovery process along with the re-wiring of your brain - you need to be ready to put up a good old fight for a while yet, BUT, as every day passes the stronger you will be become.

Wishing you strength and post anytime - we are here for you :)

Thanks Roisin, it has been hard this evening, i had a go on my nicotine-free ecig. Thank you for the reassurance that it's normal.

A year and a half is brilliant and you deserve the credit for it much more than anything else. Well done and keep going and thanks for your support.

I wrote just now that Champix is one of the main things keeping me quit. Another thing that keeps me quit is the way i can smell so much better. Even bad smells are kind of good because I'm impressed with myself that i can pick them out!

Yeah, get rid of it!! No point in putting nicotine back in your body having spent 4 days getting it out!!

Thanks Mushen, yes i hate the ecig but hopefully zero nicotine liquid won't hurt?

If it stops you from smoking a cigarette, it won't hurt but try to avoid using it if you can, they say it takes 21 days to break a habit, so the hand to mouth habit should be gone in that time, at work at this stage of my quit, I found a bic pen with the hole on the lid worked wonders for me :D

Yes I'll try to avoid using it. That's interesting about the 21 days. I think the Champix really helps. I'm ok for now. Thanks Roisin.

Nope it won't hurt a bit. In fact, it may prove helpful . I used an e-cig and after 2 weeks went to 0mg and then just stopped bothering with it. You are not swapping one habit with another. Do whatever gets you through the first stages of your quit. It's all good. You're doing great!
