Hi everyone! Today is 20 days from quitting a really heavy vape habit - I gave up analogs 4 years ago, but the vaping just replaced the addiction (so be aware, if you're replacing cigarettes with vaping - it's still nicotine)! Still experiencing very high anxiety every day - is this normal? Thank you so much!
Day 20 Cold Turkey From Vaping: Hi everyone... - No Smoking Day
Day 20 Cold Turkey From Vaping
Welcome Meredyn - congratulations on 20 days vape free, that is great, well done!
The anxiety you are experiencing is perfectly normal nicotine withdrawal side effect. But you can do some things to help with this, avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugary foods until things settle down. Loads and loads of water, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, bit of a walk every day to clear the head. Herbal and vitamin supplements can also help.
Have a read of the pinned posts here too in particular below one to be aware of as you approach 3 weeks

Thank you so much for replying, Roisin! The 'Icky Threes' post is an absolute godsend, and explains so much. I'll keep on plugging away. Also suffering from pretty severe post nasal drip, too - but i'm guessing that's my nose recovering from the drying effects of inhaling propylene glycol. I'll keep posting to let you know how i'm doing - it does help to share. Thanks again!😃
Wow 20 days vape free is fantastic.
You could try magnesium citrate/amino acid chelate as a supplement as magnesium has a calming effect on the nervous system.
Best of luck!
Welcome Chant85 - how long have you been smoke free?
I quit cigarettes Jan 2016 so coming up 3 years. I used Nicorette spray to help me quit which really helped, now in the last 6 months I have been using the spray again after some stressful times. I’ve been reading these forums as inspiration to stop with the nicorette again. Can’t beleive I could be addicted to a spray, just seems silly. Anyway cutting down each day and hopefully be free again soon 🙏
We have had several members here Chant85 with the same issue of getting addicted to the spray and finding it nearly as hard to get it off it than the cigarettes - wishing you strength to fight it and get spray free, keep in touch to let us know how you are getting on
Thank you so much, Chant85! I'm now on day 22, so passed the 3 week mark! Whooo! It's been tougher than I ever imagined, but I plan on keeping going. Good luck with easing off of the spray - I guess you and I are in a very similar boat as it's the nictotine alone, not the cigarettes we are quitting. Keep in touch!😃
