Hey Louiseb17 - not off topic at all - it was / is one of the great benefits since I quit a year and a half ago - definitely a good sign - the summer is the best of smells I had not experienced since I was a child - freshly cut grass, bbq's, the rain after it has been dry for a while (not a regular occurrence in Ireland :D ) and then food, oh my, it tastes so much better! But unfortunately, we have a few nasty odours could do without smelling so well if ya know what I mean!

Personally, 'no' but I have read that lots of others notice this as well. Mind you, I did dare to get in husband's car the other day and it stank of fags. I was like, "If you think a can of Febreeze is going to sort that out, you are deluded!'

Isn't it strange.. I never noticed when smoking that I clearly wasn't smelling anything and now some smells make me ill lol

Smoke I think is really noticeable but that could be just me 😊

It was desperate in pubs when the smoking ban came in, how it stank and off the other natural odours!! Turned me off going into some pubs :O

I do notice smoke but that's about it for me. Husband, for example, reeks of it!!! I seem to be one of those people who, despite trying, has never noticed any real changes since quitting!!! Lots of people also say that their taste improves as well.

I only noticed the smell today, can't say I've noticed the taste of food yet (and I'm eating enough of it lol)

I think everyone is different.. a girl I know quit and straight away her skin was so much clearer but I'm the opposite lol

Well on the plus side I know what parts of Dublin to avoid because it stinks lol
