Hi Amy, the first two weeks are the hardest and your emotions will be all over the place. I was either elated, miserable, irritated, angry...just never normal, and sometimes all of those in one day.

It isn't a straight line or a smooth curve. You can't say that on so and so a day the cravings and bad feelings will disappear. They come and go but the frequency gets less with time. The longer you keep going, the more good days you will have. I still get days when I fancy a smoke after seven months! They are however few and far between, and a lot easier to deal with.

Keep it up. What you're feeling is normal and you're doing great not to cave in to it.

As for the weather, I have stopped trying to understand that 🙂

It's one of those things in life, we can't explain, that said better times are ahead. It's quite normal to have good and bad days, plus natural to feel a little down. Because we are not, feeding our bodies with the addition of nicotine.

One thing is fact, the longer our quit the easier it will be.

Doing amazingly well, nearly a whole week, in my book that is, a job well done.

I'm happy to say better times ahead, your body will thank you, over and over again, if quitting was easy, no one would smoke would they? Your stronger than you think. Keep going.

Better times ahead I'm sure, hang in there.

Hello! Well, it is hard for you today simply because what you are doing is a difficult thing; some days are way harder than others.

Feeling miserable and anxious is not uncommon. I was extremely irritable at the start and also had days when I felt so fed up, I felt like crying.

This does pass. It does get better. Take it an hour at a time. Keep reminding yourself how well you are doing. Just plod on and don't give in.

You can do it!

Amy85 ... Hang in there!! I found the first month to be absolutely brutal. The things I said and did during that time.. Geesh, I'm lucky to still have people around who love me. I was horrible😁

Hang in there, exercise (and eating anything that didn't move) got me through.

One minute, One hour, One day at a time

Amy you've now entered the healing phase. Now all the nicotine has left your system your body needs to start learning how to function using what it's supposed to use, and that's not nicotine.

Your body has got used to using nicotine as a stimulant for all sorts of functions.

Eat well. Sleep lots. Spoil yourself. Care for yourself. All at once and all the time.
