Went to corner shop bought ten, got home, waited and looked, sooooo tempting, and I know smoking is a no no.

Soooo with that in mind, but them all under water, and binned them.

What a waste of my cash.

Lesson learnt. Phew

You won't do that again, will you.

Well done, another hurdle jumped

Proud of you.

Reckon if I'd bought some I would have smoked one.

Feel proud of yourself for resisting the temptation of actually smoking them.

In past quits I've done the same but I actually smoked them. Thinking at the time one won't hurt. But it does, it always leads to the next one and before you know it, you've smoked a 1000 more and then a 1000 isn't enough.........

Keep thinking about how hard those early days were and how hard the journey has been. I think sometimes you get lulled in to forgetting all the pain you've gone through.

Mr nic is so crafty........

Well done and have a great smoke free day

Tracey...Go tell the corner shop owners that they must ban you from buying smokes...

Actually maybe they must not allow you inside the shop...Surely they will assist ????

Jokes aside...You did extremely well for not smoking Tracey....You must try all the tricks...Ice water..carrots...I ate chocolates..tons of them...sweets..peppermints...

Just do not smoke...Strongs !!!!

Well done Tracey on not actually smoking them, but you overcame that dreaded hurdle of not buying them the other day, what happened that made you buy them this time you visited the shop, were you stressed going in?

I would suggest doing up a short term diary straight away of when you get cravings, how severe and how you are feeling and what has brought them on. You should be able to see a trend and then work on overcoming and avoiding these triggers.

For me, at the early stage of my quit, work related stress brought on my triggers, we were going through our 3rd redundancy process and whoever was not taking it (myself) was allocated new tasks to their existing role, I got very stressed and said to myself how am I going to deal with this and not smoke, I arranged a meeting with manager and said I would need full training and help if needed, worked out great, as the saying goes, "its good to talk!"

You can do this Tracey, and are such a positive person and bring so much to the forum which I have told you before, have that belief in yourself. Strongs xxx

What a stink!!
