Day 4 & need advice

Hi All,

Now on day 4 and not been too bad.

This weekend is going to be a big test and I will be honest and say I dont know how to handle it.

The usual scenario would be friends round, catching the sun, BBQ, wine and of course fags.

Anyone have advice please?

Seriously, Melby, be on the wagon if there's a barbie in the offiing. Stay sober.

Alternatively, shelve any barbie ideas until later and go for a long walk instead.

You really do need to employ all the weapons in your arsenal at this stage in proceedings.

Quitting is a serious business, and it's not being overly dramatic to say that it has to be the single most important thing in your life. With a few solid months under your belt you'll feel far more confident and able to handle these situations - but until you feel able (and by your own admission you don't), then why even put yourself in the situation?

You may feel you're in for a miserable couple of months if you shut yourself away but it's one of the best 'investments' you'll ever make.

I am not having the friends round now as most of them smoke and I have explained the situation and they are understanding.

I am not going to have any alcohol this weekend and I am going to get through it.
