Worse day for me so far, will be 3 weeks on Friday. Crave crave crave.

Making three different soups as I write, as cannot stop this humongous appetite

Am sure tomorrow will be better, but by far the worse craves ever.

Note to self keep cooking and do not smoke:eek::eek:

Spicy butternut, Moroccan chickpea with tomatoes, French onion, sat with my butternut and big bowl, better than smoking.

Will be better tomorrow I,m sure, I hope:)

Keep with it Tracey, you'll never have to do these horrible first 3 weeks again. It does get better you just have to hold on.

You know you don't want to be a smoker, unhealthy, grey and smelly.

The craves are what keep us addicted. Non smokers do not get these.

Cook me some soup, it sounds wonderful.:D

Tracey, those soups sound fab! Any chance of the recipe for the spicy butternut and the Moroccan chickpea ones? I've never made either and I love both chickpeas and butternut squash. I'm drooling! :D

I found cooking was one of the best crave-busters out there. In fact, I still do retire to the kitchen if I'm having one of those twitchy days.

I think from some of your more recent posts that today is an easier day. I do hope so and I also hope you thoroughly enjoyed the soup. :)

Of course will do butter nut first

Butternut squash

Celery one or two sticks, (remove strings)

One spud (any spud) just helps thickness soup.

Couple carrots

Chillie as much as you like

Touch ground cumin

Couple cloves garlic.

Chickn or veg stock cube

Touch lemon juice if you have if not no worries, chef told me lemon juice helps soups and it does

Knob butter

Peel veg, chop in to chunks. ( keep a bit of butternut back and about half a carrot, all will come clear.

Fry of in butter about 5 mins add spices, no s&p yet and fry another 5 mins or so.

Add enough hot water to cover, add stock cube, Cook around 25 mins, add s&p as needed.

While cooking take left over veg and grate.

When just cooked , I use a stick blender to smooth, return to pan add grate veg Cooke 5 mins ready, drop of lemon juice. Brings out the flavours.

I sometimes do add red lentils gives a really earthy flavour
