The trick is to recognise that they would be making you feel grumpy whether you were smoking or not. Your cravings are a reminder that when these situations hit your crutch was to reach for the smokes. The fact is that smoking never makes idiots any less irritating.

The good thing is that once you have settled into your quit dealing with them is easier as you no longer have to deal with fluctuating nicotine levels as well.

Hang in there, you're doing great and any time you need to rant just pop in here and scream!

Thanks

So true on what u just said.

Since I stopped I have had quite a few stressful episodes in the past I would of lit up.

But I dealt with it quite well.

But these past few stressful episodes including today made me feel quite down and grumpy.

So i needed to come to the forum and seek a Lil help and understanding why I was feeling so.

I even read up about quit smoking depression, which was very useful reading.

Now I understand why my mind, body was feeling so over sensitive.

I can now see which certain stress cause me to feel low, I'm prepared now to NEVER to feel like this again.

Helped by my herbal tea lol and my yoga dvd I brought lol.

In a few months I be a born again hippy loool.

No all jokes aside Talking on here, and reading up on why I was so down these past few days has helped me so much.

Wow nicotine has held me hostage :( and today my eyes, mind, body and soul finally have seen and felt that.

NEVER will I smoke again.

Every battle you win makes you stronger, ever crave dismissed, every trigger ignored gives you the experience you need to make this quit stick.

The journey can be rocky but there is always a route through.

So true,

I'm a very optimistic, positive person but I truly was having a few down days.

Reading up on this I feel a lot better, more educated and more prepared to

recognise and understand the signs of side affects, cravings etc.

Wow in nearly 4 wks of quitting I finally truly HATE ever smoking.

Plus thanks also for ur comments.

Hi Nadz :)

Sorry you're feeling grumpy, it's not easy when you're getting triggers like that *but* it's important to remember that we all had days like that when we smoked too - it's just that when we stop we tend to blame everything bad on stopping.

Treat yourself and keep going, you're doing so well!!

Or kick the nico-demon in the nuts! :D

Stinking nicotine can't not believe that I ever smoked, just thinking about being hostage all these years to cigarettes.

Makes me hate the thought of placing a pathetic white stick in my mouth lol.

Well and truly kicked it right in the nuts looool
