Hi all, just surprised myself by checking on my stop smoking app and finding I've almost done a whole calendar month. I gave up counting over a week ago and it never ceases to amaze me how time flies and how on earth I had time to smoke before. Still finding weekends trickier than weekdays but maybe that's because I spend more time with my family who drive me mental:rolleyes: love them really, they've been a huge help especially in the early days.
Am enjoying being spoilt for Mothers Day. Hubby and sons are cooking my faves; roast beef and all the trimmings followed by lemon meringue pie. Plus I've got a bottle of fizz and a family size pack of maltesers that I don't intend to share.
Hope all the mums amongst us are enjoying their day.

Blimey you've got your household well trained !! Its business as usual here with the cooking of the Sunday roast, but Mr Nonny and my boys have spoilt me with some lovely prezzies
Huge well done for the calendar month quit, the days and weeks will speed by now onwards to Month 2 and so on..
Thank you Nonny. Since the old man quit he has liked to cook at weekends anyway to keep him occupied. He had a head start on me and is a month ahead of me. He's more domesticated than I am anyway. Am really enjoying the aromas wafting from my kitchen right now.
Mrs Max doing dinner-I did offer, really I did,in the spirit of Mothers Day but she insists (cos she know what my roast tastes like and it is variable:rolleyes
See, my man knows what I like. He is doing the beef medium rare, we have fluffy crispy roasties, 3 veg and yorkshires (I am slightly disappointed that he got Aunt Bessie to do those). The lemon meringue pie though is looking and smelling stunning. It's just all a bit later than I imagined * wasting away here*

And Pisky doesnt it all taste utterly magnificent, with our renewed and reinvigorated sense of taste and smell now fags have been ditched
LOL at you wasting away,I expect timing is slightly out and certain bits of dinner are ready too soon but he will never admit that:eek:as for not doing his own Yorkshires that's bad, even I will tackle Yorkies.
I don't know. I haven't bloody had it yet. I'm famished. Though I'm assured it'll be done by 7. The fizz is gorgeous though.
