Day 8! My second week.

Wow! I can't believe it.

It's been hard, but easier than I remember. Which in itself is a little bit of a paradox. Hmm...

Anyway, I've been writing a blog and updating it with how I feel every day. Last night I made a list of all the withdrawal symptoms I've had and then a list of all the benefits from stopping. It was close (for now) but the benefits did outweigh the nasty withdrawal! Not bad for the first week.

Yep, it's hard, but I'll get there.

How's all my other same day quitters doing?

Nik

Hey there Nik and congratulations getting in to your second week!! The benefits of stopping will always outweigh the pleasures of smoking, it's just translating that into our own quit!

Well done, keep going :-)

Good morning Nik,

Just be sure that in another week you go and cross off the withdrawal symptoms that are dying away. Then you see how well you're doing.

I used to take stock of how I felt every Monday, and every single Monday there was something that had gotten better.

Just a thought, and Well Done on getting into week 2, keep up the good work. You're doing fabby!

This forum is just so cool!

Nutmeg, Molly and Karen,

I am so appreciative of you coming along and showing us newbies that the grass is actually greener on the other side! I just hope I (and all the other new year day quitters) can do the same down the line when our quits are a little more established! Thanks so much!

Fluff, Sherri, Antitrust, Billy and Rustler, you guys are amazing. How you can support me and each other in your times of hardship and pain is just beyond belief. Stay strong. Thank you too so much!

Hugs and fairy dust sprinkled to you all!

Well done all you second weekers. Stick at it because it is worth all the effort, pain and wobbles to be free instead of enslaved to this horrible habit.

If you start to flag just have a walk around a shop and get a whiff of the vile smell I used to think I never had on me. Ewwww that's enough to keep you focused. I could have been sick wandering round Tesco yesterday as different folks wandered into my stale cig detection zone.

Well done Nik & all

Storming in to week 2 like Jeremy Clarkson strapped to the front of a bullet train!

As Fi says it's great to see so many supporting each other...that truly is the way forward.

Is everyone who quit on New Year or just before still around or did we lose some? :(

Stay strong peeps :)

Take care
